Hemant Khandelwal heads Harness at India where he has joined shoulder’s with Jyoti Bansal ($3.7 billion exit at AppDynamics) to build the future of how software has to be continuously delivered by bringing industry’s first Continuous Delivery-as-a-Service platform to the market.
As CTO of Rivigo, Hemant helped it become a unicorn in around 3 years, building a highly intelligent and data driven tech platform while hiring 100+ high performing teams from scratch. He built the underlying technology for network relay models, fuel analytics, resource allocation & optimization, human behaviour analysis, time continuum algorithms etc , filing three patents. These are highly data driven systems and require interplay of automation using IOT/driver assist systems, advanced mathematics/algorithms, data sciences and high quality UI/UX to exponentially increase application adoption.
Prior to joining Rivigo, Hemant was engineering head at Adobe System looking after engineering, product management and technical support for a very profitable ColdFusion product line. At Adobe, he created proposals for several new innovations like API management platform, Mobile application development platform, eclipse based IDE and cloud version and built those products from scratch. He successfully transitioned and setup eBook product (a cloud based digital book platform) in India and delivered much needed improved security infrastructure. He designed SEE (Secure Engineering Environment) for worldwide Adobe to work in a secure environment.
He was a mentor for Management Essentials program to train new and experienced managers, Adobe ambassador, member of patent review committee, led the team to file several patents and part of 12-member A-star team @Adobe. He is a co-author of ColdFusion Web Application Construction Kit 10 (CFWACK) and presented/keynote several new innovations at Adobe’s and worldwide conferences.
At Pramati Technologies, Hemant almost single handedly wrote the world’s first EJB2.0 container ahead of competitors like BEA, Oracle, IBM etc. He was instrumental in defining the future direction and standards on Java usage in enterprises as an expert group member of enterprise Java standards – EJB 3.0 and J2EE 1.4 alongside world’s topmost Java experts.
He is a graduate from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and completed executive MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
